I really like this image because it smells like my grandmother. It reminds me of chicken soup and hugs.


On another note, you caught some really spectacular lighting here. Previously a lot of your shots have been quite snapshottish, because we go crazy when we get a new camera (everyone does it, lol) but this, perhaps because of the subject, is beautiful and looks like a complete photograph.


A tip for making your photographs look like complete photographs that is really easy to do is to put a border on them. A 10 pixel border of white or near-black is usually best. It adds a professional air to them and stops them looking like flukes.


I can already see a lot of potential in your photography, which is why I'm mostly leaving you to it and not commenting on them, so hopefully you won't be offended by my 'snapshottish' comment.
