Umbrella Conky by exarobibliologist Umbrella Conky by exarobibliologist
It's time for a script update! Since I released my original Conky script here I've put so much work into the script it might as well be entirely new!

What's new, you ask?

Graphs with Nested Infos - Before... there was info, and there were graphs. Both were separate. Now... I spent several hours rewriting all the scripts with copious usage of {offset} and {voffset} to nest information inside moving graphs and make the weather center pretty. I am planning a few more offset changes in the future, but I'll release my current version for now.

IF Internet - Before... I had two graphs displaying which would show activity depending on whether the computer was directly tied to the router or using wireless. Now... the Internet graph is an IF/THEN/ELSE statement! It ONLY displays one graph, depending on the whether the input is from ETH or WLAN. The max graph level has been changed so that the graph doesn't max out so quickly too.

Stippled Rules - Before... horizontal rules were used to separate each section of data. Now... horizontal rules look cool. They are stippled so they resemble dotted lines...

The three first scripts are missing! So sad!

They are!? :o
I wonder if Pastebin deleted them?
That is sad, as I don't have a copy of them anymore.

here is probably and odd question, how do you use the scripts cause i cant seem to get it to work

Sorry about the lag in replying. My computer was broken for a month, so dA got put on hold.

Here's the answer to your question.
The are 3 Conky scripts in the description that need to be downloaded. Those can be placed in a convenient place on your computer.
The Conky Autostart Script is also in the description. It is designed to automatically start the files running, usually when the computer is started. What you need to do is edit the file so the three locations on your computer where those scripts are found are pointed to in the file, then change the file to an executable (it's a simple BASH script).
Then all you need to do is add the Autostart file to your Startup sequence.

If you're using Ubuntu Unity, search for the program Startup Applications.
If you're using Ubuntu Classic, it's under Start Menu > Preferences > Startup Applications.

Add the Autostart file to the list of startup applications, and every time you log in or start the computer, Conky will autostart and begin running those scripts.

Stay tuned with awoken iconset! From the next release I'll include 5 different umbrella start-here (check them here: [link] ), that fits perfectly your desktop! :)

I'd be happy to help you beta-test your new version :)
(anything to make the wait less)

Here you the beta version: [link]

It completely lacks 24x24 size icons, so the script will do some errors (but forget them). Moreover, you could experience some kind of blur on systray icons (since gnome could not resize well).

As you can see, I added a lot of new start-here icons, and great improvements in already done icons (first of all banshee, that surely needed a revamp)!

However, I hope you appreciate umbrella logo!

Nice! :)
Mighty handy and it looks great too. I like the layout.

Though with a desktop background like that you almost have to add an infected proximity radar under the weather center too. ;)

An infected proximity radar? Hmm... I may have to work on that one.

Glad you like it. I find it quite useful!
